SCRAP December Gift Gallery

Get into the handmade holiday spirit at SCRAP Denton’s December Gift Gallery. The gift gallery will be open from Friday, December 2nd through the end of the year. All pieces shown are available for immediate purchase, and are likely to go fast! All sorts of fantastic gifts will be available, such as hand-crocheted floor poufs, dreamcatchers, wall hangings, woven art, holiday décor, and jewelry. Makers include Savannah Kurka, Jess West, and Deane Bowers, along with 25 other talented artists.

The opening reception will be held from 6-8pm on Friday, December 2nd at the SCRAP storefront located at 420 S. Bell. Of course, it’ll be hard to tear yourself away from the square during Wassail Fest, but with live music from musicians Westin Portillo and Joe Tinajero, SCRAP’s special wassail and other libations, a make-and-take craft (mini wreaths!), and all the handmade goodies you can get your hands on, it’ll be well worth the trek. Plus, it’s totally free! The pieces will stay on display until the end of the year, but you’ll want to claim your bounty before someone else snatches it up, so we suggest staking your claim at the gallery opening.

SCRAP’s mission is all about keeping awesome junk out of the landfill, and encouraging more creative ways to reuse those materials. All works on display are made of at least 75% reused or recycled materials. Break the cycle of consumption, and grab a gift that aligns with your personal values. Plus, how amazing would it be to get your holiday shopping done? SCRAP is a 501c(3) non-profit that provides makers of all trades with affordable, reused goods. Show your support and come out for a great evening of crafts, gifts, food, and drink, and meet some of the talented artisans that Denton is known for.
