UNT To Host Donald Trump, Jr. This Fall At AT&T Stadium
*Updated* August 17, 2017. 6:00 PM following the University removing AT&T Stadium from their website as a venue.
Announced on Wednesday, the UNT Kuehne Speaker Series will host Donald Trump, Jr. as a speaker in Arlington at the AT&T Stadium on Tuesday, October 24, 2017. Melissa Francis, an anchor for FOX News Channel, is set to speak next March.
Kelley Reese, UNT spokesperson, told the NT Daily "the contract for the venue has not been finalized, despite a post on UNT’s website Wednesday saying the event would be held at AT&T Stadium in Arlington."
Ernie Kuehne is a former UNT athlete who currently serves on the President's Leadership Board and is a member of The McConnell Society at UNT.
"Ernie's vision of bringing relevant speakers to Dallas on behalf of UNT resulted in the establishment of the UNT Kuehne Speaker Series," the Kuehne Series website says. "He pledged an initial gift of $300,000 to launch the series and helped raise an additional $1.5 million to ensure sustainability. Today, the lecture series is highly recognized for the nationally prominent speakers it draws."
According to the website, you can be a presenting sponsor of this event for $50,000. Anyone want in?
