Weekend Update 10/12 – 10/15

October is already the spookiest month of the year, but having Friday the 13th fall in October makes for a perfect storm of scares!

This weekend might be filled with black cats and sidewalk cracks, but never fear: you’re in for a lucky weekend filled with lots of fun events to keep your superstitious minds at ease. The Bearded Monk is celebrating its second birthday this weekend, the Denton Community Market is hosting a Harvest Day event, and SCRAP Denton is hosting a 50s prom-themed fundraiser ball.

If you don’t scare easily, there’s a Friday the 13th celebration at Metropolis Tattoo this weekend as well as a frightening ghost tour throughout historic Denton on Sunday. This weekend is jam-packed with unmissable events that only come around once a year, so throw some salt over your shoulder and leave the house this weekend, Dentonites. Now here’s your weekend update.
