Wendy Davis Has Endorsed Will Fisher for Congress
As the race for Congressional District 26 heats up, Wendy Davis has given her support to Will Fisher, a valuable endorsement for as he vies to win the Democratic primary over candidates Linsey Fagan and John Wannamaker. The three candidates ultimately hope to challenge Republican incumbent Michael Burgess, where it will take a high voter turnout to turn a Denton County election blue.
In a Facebook post announcing her endorsement, Wendy Davis said:
Fighting for human rights means fighting for women’s rights. This is why I am proud to endorse Will Fisher for Congress to be the next representative in the U.S. House for Texas’ 26th Congressional District.
Will’s passion for equal rights and his willingness to place those values in the forefront of his campaign resonate with me. Women should have the right to choose what’s best for their families and futures. Healthcare for all will build a stronger and healthier country. Love is love is love. Davis went on to urge supporters to donate money to Fisher's campaign. The primary election will take place on March 6, 2018.
