Bet the House BBQ Has Closed
After 4 1/2 years of business in Denton, Bet The House will close its doors this Sunday, Dec. 2, 2018.
Bet The House, one of Denton’s most popular, if not the most popular BBQ joints posted an unexpected announcement two days ago on Facebook.
“We just want to thank Denton for all its support over the last 4.5 years, and hopefully we can come back one day and serve the community again,” Owner Cody Smithers told The Dentonite. “We love making great bbq for our community!”
Smithers told the Denton Record-Chronicle that the business location was part of the problem that has lead them to close. "We just hit a bunch of bumps real quick," Smithers told the DRC.
Smithers and his business partner and co-founder Shawn Eagle aren’t done, though, and that is good news despite the sadness of one of the best BBQ joints in Texas closing.
