Introducing The Weekend Recipe at 940's Kitchen & Cocktails
You’ve probably been to 940’s Kitchen & Cocktails for lunch or dinner by now, we’re sure, but have you been back for drinks? You can do that! In fact, they’ve begun a weekly DJ night on Saturday’s to help set more of a bar-like atmosphere for weekend patrons. Last week Dj T. Rea spun some classic tunes and this week the vibe will be back with Dj Dr. Scotch.
Located one block West of the square downtown, 940’s offers 10 classic cocktails and 3 cocktails on tap. In fact, the ‘A Certain Mr. Rose’ cocktail sounds extremely refreshing right now, and we won’t get into what time this is being written.. however, the beverage is based with Espolon Blanco tequila, includes a hint of toasty homemade creme of coco, fresh basil leaves, and a spicy blast of serrano tincture. Yum!
If the cocktails aren't your poison of choice, the bar offers 3 draught beers and a pretty standard selection of bottled beers and ciders (including the Not Your Father's Rootbeer, if that's your thing).
The bar and kitchen are open until 2 a.m. with a special late night menu, and it’s right down the street from the bar you’re probably thinking about going to anyway. Plus food. You always have me, personally, at food.
By the way, in the terms of late night food in Denton, 940's is offering burgers, tacos, and pizza in addition to some vegan shared plates. I mean, 'when in Denton...' do as the Dentonites do, right?
Stop in to 940’s for your evening nightcap and enjoy an aesthetically beautiful bar and restaurant setting, and if you’re coming in on Saturday, you’ll likely get to hear a guest DJ playing classic records while you sip some classic drinks.
