Wednesday Morning Drawing Class
10 - 11:30a.m.
$20 per lesson
Bring your own sketchbook (12x14 or 16x20), drawing pencils, white eraser, and kneaded eraser. Students can join at any time to learn the fundamentals of drawing.

Experienced Crocheter (Ages 18+)

Mary Cresson teaches the three basic stitches of the Tunisian Crochet Technique that makes things look stitched. Bring your own worsted-weight yarn. Tunisian hooks will be supplied. Registration is required.

Get into card-making with all supplies provided. Make sure to register in advance to get into the class. Students will make 3 themed cards using stamp and design sets.

Beginning Brush Lettering with Wildflower Art Shop
Saturday, October 8th
10:30a.m. - 12p.m.
$55 ($85 with Brush Lettering Kit)
Brush lettering is a practice similar to calligraphy. Students will gain skills in using a single brush pen to make beautiful letters, and take home something they'll be proud to hang on their walls. All supplies used during class are provided. Students will take home an inspiring work of art.

If you've ever wanted to design a rad poster with artsy lettering, this is your chance to develop those skills. Participants will learn a wide range of styles, and are encouraged to bring their own favorite quotes. Words are art too!

Workshop: Beginning Calligraphy With Wildflower

$55 ($95 with calligraphy kit)
Learn the art of beautiful lettering in this class that covers the basics of lowercase modern calligraphy. Beginners are welcome and calligraphy kits are available as a $40 add-on.

Creative Space Workshop Series: Comic Strip Creation Workshop

$50 ($45 for GDAC members)
Comic aficionado? Why not make one yourself? Curator and artist Josh Rose will explain his process before participants design their own 3-4 panel comic strip. This event is for adults over 21 and BYOB. All supplies are provided.

Not only does this class welcome newcomers, it provides the chance to observe more experienced Celtic dancers if you show up at 5p.m. Wear loose, comfortable clothing that doesn't restrict movement and leather shoes with no heels such as jazz shoes, ballet slippers, and ghillies. Feminist Fashion Club: Darts and Tucks

Thrifty customizing is an underutilized element of personal fashion. At this workshop, participants can bring a used item of clothing and learn how to alter it to your unique body. As the workshop says, dart and tuck techniques will be taught in order to reshape garments around the chest and waist area.

Shabby Chic Painting Workshops
Evening Sessions: Tuesdays through Saturdays 6-8p.m.
Daytime Sessions: Tuesdays through Thursdays 10:30a.m. - 12:30p.m.; Saturdays 2-4p.m.

Pick up some shabby chic skills in this class. Participants are provided paint, supplies, and a free furniture item to keep. This can be solo experience, or you can bring along a group for a fun night of learning with friends and family.
