DAM AWARDS 2019: Best Traditional Venue

Denton is fortunate to have some super traditional venues in town, with talented sound techs, admirable sound systems and the stages our Denton musicians deserve. Take a look at your 3rd Annual Denton Art and Music Award Nominees for traditional venue!

Andy’s

This venue has it all, karaoke, comedy, every genre of music and of course Glitterbomb and a boozy Burlesque Brunch with BONUS badass waffles. Their booking is all inclusive and their dance parties in the basement are on point . Though they are 21 plus, they do host the occasional 18 plus show so the younger crowd can still enjoy the atmosphere the space provides for musical and artistic talent.

Backyard on Bell

BYOB is coming in HOT in 2018 with their new main stage and the addition of their second stage under the awning of their patio. Hosting a wide variety of musical genres plus trivia nights, this may be your new favorite outdoor spot. This past year has seen an upgraded stage, sound system, a slew of talented sound technicians, in addition to the expansion of their menu offerings.

Dan’s Silverleaf

Located off Industrial St, Dan’s Silverleaf is always dripping with nostalgia, and bringing through some amazing talent from across the county, including providing a stage and space to our local musicians and community fundraising efforts. Their team up with Tex Tapas means you can get small plate goodness from your seat on the back patio or from one of the seats inside.

Harvest House

This outdoor space may be hindered my the colder temps and the elements, but they surely put on a good show. With a large stage, ample lights, and sound pouring out of the speakers you can take advantage of their extensive draft beer list and on nights where there is food truck, you don’t even have to leave the space to grab a delicious bite to eat.
