Elle King Recording her Sophomore Album in Denton, Texas
Updated May 28, 2017. 11:36 AM. Elle King is back in Denton!
In an Instagram post last night, Elle King announced that she would be recording her new album in Texas. Earlier this evening, King posted on Instagram saying "Me and the Jam Bland have officially started album 2." The Grammy-nominated 27-year old's debut album, Love Stuff, came out almost exactly two years ago, on February 13, 2015. Sources confirm that King's new album is being recorded in Denton at Redwood Studios, the studio owned by Midlake members McKenzie Smith and Joey McClellan.
Since her debut album, King worked with Dierks Bently for a single off his eighth studio album, Black.
King, born Tanner Elle Schneider, daughter of Rob Schneider and former model London King, was nominated for the third time at the Grammy Awards that took place this past Saturday. Although the "Exes and Oh's" singer has not won a Grammy of her own yet, we still think she's the coolest. King did, however, take home a CMA Award in 2016 for Best Vocal Event of the Year for "Different for Girls" - the project that she and Bently were nominated for at the 2017 Grammy Awards for Best Country Duo/Group of the Year.
