Artists Can Now Apply for a Solo Exhibition at Brick Haus Collective
Artists who have work ready to hang have an opportunity to be featured in a solo exhibition by answering Brick Haus Collective's open call for work. The chosen artist will receive a funded exhibition that covers the cost of renting the space and the damage deposit. It"s an opportunity for any artist who has stacks of work to show, but is struggling to put together a solo gallery display.
Proposals must be submitted by February 12th, 2017. The chosen artist will have their work exhibited for a week in mid-May. The artist will need to have their works ready to hang by the installation date on May 14th. No extra funding is provided for materials needed for display.
This is the first time Brick Haus is offering a funded exhibition, but their most recent solo exhibit featuring Maria F. Razo was a success. There is a certain magic in attending a reception to celebrate an artist that's been fine tuning their craft for years. For Denton art collectors it's a chance to purchase art pieces with aesthetic that's been developed in a town flowing with transient creatives.
Brick Haus is doing their part to promote growth within the art community. Interested artists can check out submission guidelines on the website.
