I'm shocked and awed that there are people who view the women-only screenings of Wonder Woman hosted by Alamo Drafthouse as gender discrimination. It should be understood that gender restrictive functions are not equated with gender discrimination. I wonder, what is it that these upset men are so afraid of?

Composite of the Soul ft. Justin Archer, Erik Beruvides, and Dan Black
Three local artists teamed up to present a three-dimensional installation utilizing wood sculptures, large-scale murals, and audio/video elements. Composite of the Soft provokes thought on building toward a better future without forgetting the past. The Dentonite recently stopped by to capture a photo essay on the exhibit. Walk through the Festival Hall until June 3rd for a free viewing.

Emic
This exhibition embraces the anthropological nature studying cultures from the internal perspective rather than an external point of view. Viewers are invited take in the works of 3 unique artists in this exhibit. Chelsea Coon and Tae Kyung Seo display two video pieces of live performances where they act as both mediums and subjects. Jill Gibson's sculptural work strives to stay true to the nature of the material itself. The events runs from May 26th to August 5th in 2017.
