Sofar Denton Presents: Criminal Birds performing Flattery
Sofar Denton hosted a show earlier this year on February 20 featuring Denton band Criminal Birds performing one of our favorite songs, "Flattery."
Sofar Sounds was founded in 2010 by a group of music lovers in London, and quickly became a worldwide phenomena. There are now more than 100 Sofar gigs each month in 237 different countries around the world, including frequent stops in Dallas, Fort Worth, and even Denton! Bands can even apply to play - and heck - if you're a videographer, photographer, or other type of audio creative, Sofar could use your help too. Also, if you have a place for bands to play, those are always needed.
Sofar DFW (which includes Denton) is cool, because it is organized by two folks I know (and love), Elia & Anthony Najera. "At a Sofar session, music comes first; artists perform for an audience who listens," Elia says. "The performances are typically acoustic or stripped back in nature to further the intimate experience."
In the video below, Criminal Birds perform their song "Flattery" for the Sofar Denton crown on February 20, 2016. To keep up with more Sofar DFW shows, check out their website for more information and upcoming shows.
