Holy smokes, it’s finally Thursday. After last weekend's abundance of events, I was ready for my Friday Eve when the alarm clock went off Monday morning. You did good Denton, and this weekend is no exception. There is more music happening than any single persons earbuds can handle, but we challenge you to try.
Thursday, May 10th
OK Rainbows • Radiohead Tribute Night
Harvest House
What better way to kick off the pre-weekend than with a Radiohead tribute night? Become mesmerized by sounds and catch that sway from one of their specialty cocktails. Lost Poet Lounge: Music Induced Poetry
Wine Squared
Spoken word catches the vibes with poetry recited alongside its own instrumental sound track this evening at Wine^2. From 8 - 10 p.m., performers will do their spoken word magic to the tunes of their own chosen tracks. Enjoy the show, a sensational wine list, and one of those finely paired meat and cheese boards.

Andy’s Bar
Yes, we are still on Thursday events, and this stacked show will get you in the mood or the weekend. Taking the stage at Andy’s is King Country from Waco, local Kyoto Lo-Fi and Maestro Maya, plus Stuyedyed from New York City. This show is 21+ with $10 tickets day of, that is well worth the amazing talents of these 4 groups.

The highly anticipated SeaFire EP is finally here, and the show is happening at The Holding Cell House Show Venue. This 5 band line up is ready to make your Friday night as kick ass as possible with performers including Abelia, Older Than The Hills (SATX), Trying Science (ATX), Doma Kid, in addition to SeaFire. Respect the space, buy some merch, and make sure to throw a couple bucks towards the performers.

Grab some damn good tacos, a cold beer, and enjoy some live music put together by BLVR Booking in the backyard of Killers Tacos. Tunes kick off at 7pm so you can cool off as the sun goes down and see some locals plus Johnny Manchild and The Poor Bastards from Oklahoma. Cover is $5.

ICYMI, EDM Rehab is making its debut Denton with an out of the world line up of EDM DJ’s, performers, vendors, and more. Bonus, it’s BYOB. So the money you put down on the ticket (well worth it TBH) won’t get you into an event selling $12 beers, but to one where coolers are welcome. Make sure to bring some water to stay hydrated, your glow sticks and poi, because this event will have you movin’.

The Bearded Monk
In its 3rd installation, the Funk at the Monk will feature the sounds of Puddin Taine and The Boombachs as well as select tappings of the funkiest of sours and wild beer. Going from 6pm to 1am, there is plenty of time to stop in, grab yourself the wildest beer in its natural habitat, while catching some funky tunes.
