DCYP Lunch & Learn Preview
Do you own a business or organization? Maybe you aren’t the owner but you are a part of (or even the only person in) the marketing department for a small business or company? Or perhaps you just like to learn about other young professionals experiences whilst eating delicious foods? If you answered yes to any of these questions, we've got the event for you.
Denton County Young Professionals (DCYP) will be hosting their first Lunch & Learn program on Monday, August 22nd, from 11:30 AM - 1:00 PM at GreenHouse Restaurant. Jenna Duncan, Business Editor at the Denton Record-Chronicle, will be on hand to talk about how your business or organization can gain media recognition.
Topics on the agenda include: how to connect with local media, press release layouts, and how to determine what is newsworthy.
DCYP is an organization that aims to ‘strengthen the community and development of young professionals in Denton County’. For nearly two years they have held weekly coffees featuring opportunities to hear from local business owners, nonprofits, politicians, and anyone doing cool things in the community. In addition to coffees, they hold a monthly mixer at area restaurants and bars. With the addition of these Lunch & Learn events, DCYP now has something to offer the crowd that doesn’t make it to the weekly coffee’s (read: me, because 7:15 am is pretty dang early) but still wants to participate in the professional development side of DCYP.
Seats are limited for this event so head over to their Facebook event for all the details and registration info. To learn more about DCYP, what they do, and other events they have, check out their Facebook page.
