Weekend Update: May 17 - May 20

Graduation has passed, and as students have packed up and left for summer vacation Denton slowly becomes a summer ghost town. That’s not stopping anyone from filling up your calendar with lots of awesome. It’s a busy weekend Denton.There are so many events that will either keep you bouncing from place to place or making the hard decision to only pick a few to attend. As always, there is a little something for everyone.

Guy Clark Tribute

Dan’s Silverleaf

Grammy Award Winner Guy Clark left this world in 2016 but his great legacy lives on. A very talented line up of Denton artist will be paying tribute to his perfect blend of poetry and wit at Dan’s Silverleaf. Cover is $10 and proceeds benefit DMAC.

 

FWB Adult Unbirthday Party

Friends with Benefits Denton is wishing YOU a Happy Unbirthday with a party to raise money to help the kiddos at Cumberlands Children Hospital celebrate their birthdays and have the most memorable birthday possible. $5 gets you a cupcake, a hotdog, AND you get to sign a birthday card! Live music, magic, and an Alice in Wonderland inspired costume contest.

Denton's Planned Parenthood Benefit Show

Denton Stands with Planned Parenthood is hosting its Benefit Show at Backyard on Bell for the second year in a row! Come out and support Planned Parenthood with guest speakers, a stacked music line up, a silent auction, and a kid zone for the little ones!

Beer & Food Pairing with Komodo Loco

East Side

East Side is having another one of their famous beer and food pairings this Sunday, with the fellas from Komodo Loco. The past couple of these have sold out so make sure to save your seat now!
